On Saturday 5 May 2007 afternoon, two hundreds women, men and children, Arabs and Jews from Wadi 'Ara, Haifa and Tel Aviv, demonstrated on the Wadi 'Ara road, near Dar ElHanun, demanding recognition to the village. They also demanded the state to stop with the demolition plans it has for the village. The demo was very well received by passers by. The demonstration was peaceful, and afterwards most of the demonstrators gathered in Dar ElHanun for a meeting with the residents. The demonstration was peaceful even though the 'Iron police deployed five jeeps and several policemen and border units.
